When you have not seen something in a while, does it really take on a new perspective? Was it always there and you took it for granted? Or do our eyes get used to seeing what they see, and it all becomes the same scenery? This week I had the pleasure to travel back to my roots. The very place that I escaped from twenty plus years ago, this would be California, Southern California to be exact.
In any case, as we travelled in California, I had an eye opener. The beauty of the land, the ocean, the wildlife (yes, people are included in this category) was awe-inspiring. Even the skyscrapers that fill the Los Angeles skyline was such a striking view. Everything took on a whole different perspective. Perhaps it was I am older, taking my photography skills more seriously, or perhaps it has to do with being gone too long. Whatever it was, it was inspiring.
The photo opportunities were plentiful. I took pictures of everything that caught my eye. Near the beach it was the coastline, pelicans, surfers, seals, street signs, the people that frequent Venice Beach and the food I was eating. I snapped pictures of relatives, forever friends, babies and even a sand storm. Capturing these images with my camera means everything to me. All in all, it was a fantastic vacation, with pictures to prove it.
This great adventure gave me one more way of following my bliss and enlightened my soul. Try to do something often to follow your own bliss. It will refresh your soul!
Time to get inspired,
Tammy
